Piggnation is little bit different take on Digg’s main video podcast you guessed it….Diggnation. Whereas Diggnation covers “some of the top user submitted stories on the social news site Digg.com that’s D-I-G-G dot com”, Piggnation covers some of the top POLITICAL stories on Digg. I really like this idea. Sometimes on Diggnation (hosts) Kevin and Alex talk about some frankly stupid stuff and then go off on tangents about it for way too long. On Piggnation (hosts) Steven and Dan stick to the almost-never-stupid top political stories, and just like on Diggnation, Steven and Dan talk about the topics while drinking (lest you think this is a boring uptight podcast which it is far from). I think the specific topic focus helps to form a more cohesive podcast even while Steven and Dan go off about the headlines. In their latest episode (#7) they even talk about the Digg controversy (and pour out one for their ‘homies‘ like P9…who is back by the way)…and hey Dan it’s Cuyahoga pronounced Kai-Ya-Hoe-Ga…I grew up there.
