Speaking of Battlestar Galactica, check out this site SciFi set up for fans wanting to make their own videos/movies. They’ve got video clips, music clips, sound effects, logos everything you’ll need to make a somewhat competant fan film…and they’ll be adding more often!

This is a pretty slick move by SciFi and the Battlestar creators. While most companies are busy yanking their clips and filing lawsuits over copyrights on YouTube, SciFi opens the vault to the fans.

The clips are all great quality too. The music is the exact music from the show (love the Main Title Open song) and the videos are perfect for cut scenes and transitions just like in the show.

The only requirement is that you put the short ending clip they’ve made on your film…which really is also kind of like what they always have on the show. This blows YouTube’s replace soundtrack (with one of their licensed ones) out of the water. I am very impressed.
