New HandBrake Beta!
From those unfamiliar with HandBrake, it is by far the easiest way to convert your DVD collection into playable files on your computer. HandBrake unfortunately had stopped updating the software a few months ago and in its absence, MediaFork stepped in to continue the tradition. Now the two programs have merged into the new HandBrake 0.8.5 Beta 1.
The new beta includes Apple TV support as well as support for the PS3. There is also support now for high-profile H.264 which I believe the Xbox 360 will be supporting with its Spring update. The new version also allows for the importing of chapters, which is just awesome.
There could be a few bugs as this is still a beta, but I would definitely suggest downloading HandBrake if you are at all interested in converting your movies into a digital collection. It’s available for OS X, Linux, and Windows.
