Having already implemented integration with Yahoo property Flickr, MyBlogLog is about to get a lot more Yahoo-ified according to the new MyBlogLog community manager.

The upcoming changes include everything from a re-branding (no word on the new name yet) to the removal of inappropriate avatars (so enjoy those last few weeks worth of clicks based solely on your animated .gif of a woman on a trampoline). The site will also be completely redesigned (which it definitely needed) and a new Widget for users’ sites will be on the way.

It’s good to see that Yahoo will be giving MyBlogLog the attention it deserves. The addition of the ability to link up with your Twitter account was nice, but there is much more potential as a quasi-professional social network that has largely gone untapped.

It’ll be interesting to see what new name they choose for the service. My money is on something have to do with “connections”. Yahoo Blog Connections?
