The Race Is On For the YouTube Cash
It looks like YouTube is going to start paying some of its top users later today – it’s a move that may go down as either the point where YouTube exploded into something even bigger…or the end of innocence.
Though it will initially only be open to a select few users who have channels with huge followings, YouTube acknowledges that they’ll be rolling the program out to others and anyone who garners a big enough following is encouraged to submit their channel for inclusion in the program.
This of course all revolves around advertisements – the users lucky enough to get into the program will be getting a cut of the proceeds – just how much is unclear.
What is clear is that where there is money to be had, interest and content will always be ample. So much for the death of YouTube. Consider the race for the YouTube cash on.
