Mark it Down – iPhone Official Release June 29th
A just-aired iPhone commercial has confirmed Engadget’s earlier report that Apple’s iPhone will in fact be released on June 29th. The commercial ran tonight during ‘60 Minutes’.
What’s interesting is that the 29th is a Friday, while Apple usually does Tuesday releases of things. Also of note is that during the D Conference Walt Mossberg joked with Steve Jobs that the iPhone would probably be out the last day in June – and Jobs joked back that it probably would – well they were only 1 day off.
Here’s the commercial (obviously shot in someone’s living room while watching TV):
[UPDATE]: And here’s the link for the full commercial in hi-res now live on Apple’s site. And a link for all three new iPhone ads, all looking very nice, all confirming June 29th.
