It’s actually been here for a little while, but with the official announcement will it explode? It has a couple of things definitely in its favor: it claims to offer higher quality playback than its rivals (YouTube, etc), and you can tag friends in the videos just like you can for photos on Facebook. It would seem to me that Facebook would be the place to go for personal/home video uploads, while YouTube is better for amateur/semi-professional video experiments.

Users have not been happy with Digg’s recent comment changes – which got a botched roll-out to boot. My main problem with them is that they take way too long to load (the replies). But I think it’s very good that Digg is listening to its users and trying to improve their features.
