Google Analytics Adds Beta Graph Mode
It looks like Google is experimenting with some updates to Analytics. Though not fully functional in all areas yet, you’ll notice a new ‘Beta Graph Mode’ that allows you to compare two metrics or compare to your site overall. On the graph you’ll see these comparisons represented by two different colors lines, one blue and one orange.
While maybe not so useful for the casual user, these updates are pretty nice for those wanting better points of comparison for how the different facets of traffic is doing for their site.
[UPDATE]: Mashable has a post on the new feature comparing it to Alexa, Compete and the like, but I’m not sure that is accurate – at least not yet. From what I can tell the ‘compare to site’ actually just compared specific data to your overall site data (it’s a bit confusing how it is worded on the site).
It’d be nice if Google would actually clarify what they added here.
