FriendFeed Brings Back Direct Posting (Under a Less Humorous Name)

Those of us who have been on the FriendFeed tip for a while now often think back to the good old days of FestivusFeed (a whole month and a half ago) where we could ‘air our grievances’ directly from an input box on the site. Well, FestivusFeed isn’t back, but the ability to add message directly to the site is.

FriendFeed has just added a ‘Share something’ link at the top of the site which allows you to post either a message, a link, or import items from other sites directly to FriendFeed from the main screen (you previously had to go to the ‘My Feed’ area to do this). This is exactly what users have been asking for, and exactly what they got.

Definitely one of the best things about the young FriendFeed is how well and how quickly they respond to feedback from the community. That can only mean great things in their future.

[UPDATE]: Here is the friendblog’s official post on it.

[UPDATE 2]: ReadWriteWeb wrote up FriendFeed today as well.

Nothing seems to be easier than seeing someone whom you can help but not helping.
I suggest we start giving it a try. Give love to the ones that need it.
    God will appreciate it.
