l33t Tech News Podcast Take 1
Back in January I recorded a podcast with Mark ‘Rizzn’ Hopkins for Mashable about the ‘Elite Tech News‘ custom Reddit (aka ‘l33t tech reddit’) I had created. The conversation went well enough that not only did Mark join as a contributer to the reddit, but thoughts began to form about creating a new weekly chat with the other contributers to the effort including Frederic Lardinois of The Last Podcast, Jason Kaneshiro of Webomatica, Louis Gray of LouisGray.com and Steven Hodson of Winextra.
After a trial run last week, me, Mark, Frederic and Jason got together (and by that I naturally mean virtually) and recorded the first ‘Elite Tech News Podcast’ on Sunday. It’s embedded below for your listening pleasure. Yes, I know I’m too quiet in the recording (I blame the iPhone headset microphone), so I’ll work on that for the next time. Baby steps.
It looks like we’ll be making this a weekly deal, every Sunday. We’ve been using TalkShoe to record, so feel free to stop by and chat in the room as we do it (I’ll tweet the URL sometime Sunday).
Call it what you will – the Elite Tech News Podcast, the B-list Cast, or perhaps most preferable, as my esteemed colleague Eric Eldon at VentureBeat dubbed us “The Rat Pack of tech news”. Rat Pack, Brat Pack, Frat Pack, and now…Stat Pack? Lame? Yes/No?
