Techmeme crowd-sources tips with Twitter

People love to bitch about Techmeme — in fact, it’s one of the top Bitchmeme topics. More often than not, the root cause of the bitching is a story they think should be a Techmeme headline. Well guess what, now instead of writing a post bitching about bias, you can submit your suggested link to Techmeme via Twitter!
To do so, you simply send to Twitter a message with the following into “Tip @Techmeme” and include the URL you want to send along. And for those who love credit for that type of stuff (which we all do even if we fail to admit it), Techmeme is even including a credit under the story to your Twitter ID if your tipped story makes Techmeme’s main page.
But a word of caution: In the Q&A in his blog post on the matter, Techmeme’s Gabe Rivera notes that while it’s acceptable to submit your own links, you should only do so “rarely.” That means you Scoble.
