If the web browser is that much better — meaning Instapaper actually works — I’ll buy one in a heartbeat.
SO, BASICALLY, IT’S LIKE A DISTRIBUTED SOCIAL NETWORK FOR PRESENTATION TOOLS!
Awesome.
Arcade Fire + HTML5 + Google Maps + Chrome.
Awesome.
Okay, but why per-episode? Who watches just one random episode of a television show?
Why not “rent the season” for like $10 to $15 with an option to buy?
I really miss TiVo. Haven’t had one in like 5 years, but was so obsessed with it when I first bought it.
I miss the UI which five years ago was 100 years ahead of cable boxes today.
And I really miss the “beep” and “boop” noises.
I think if I sneezed, 99% of TechCrunch readers would say “bless you.” Meanwhile, 99% of our commenters would say “fuck you.”
Good thing those commenters are only 1% or less (often far less) of total readers.
Do they mean literally?
From my story on Facebook location back in March:
One person who has seen it notes that the icon for the location feature has a pushpin on a map. This was apparently a beta version of an app, but the functionality, if Facebook chooses to go with it, would likely be built into the massively popular Facebook iPhone app.
And word was it was using both Gowalla and Foursquare check-ins to populate the area. All turned out to be true.
