Setting up the new MacBook Air. The 13-inch one.
My immediate reaction? I don’t see myself using my larger MacBook Pro anymore.
Is that more powerful? Of course. But for 90% of the things I do (90% of which are online), I just don’t see myself seeing a major difference. And I’ve been using a top-of-the-line new MacBook Pro (2.8 GHz i7, etc) for months now.
Even though that computer has a 15-inch screen, the screen on this 13-inch MacBook Air really doesn’t seem that much smaller. The resolution is great.
As a bonus, the 13-inch Air comes with an SD card reader — that’s how I got the picture above onto this computer.
So far, battery life seems excellent.
I know I’ve only been using this thing for about an hour, but I really can’t see myself going back. It’s as if a huge weight has been lifted off my lap. Because it has been.
I’m curious to see what people who get the 11-inch version think. That seems a bit too small for my tastes, but who knows, maybe I’d like that even more.
There’s no question is my mind that this is the future of the MacBook line.
