If Apple is going to update the iPhone with a larger screen, it makes sense that the iPod touch would get the same treatment, no? While they probably could wait a year to do that, the fact that the iPod touch went an entire year without an update, makes it seem more likely that it will get a rather significant one this fall.
Then again, maybe the new screen with be supply constrained and they’ll need all of them for the new iPhone. Who knows.
But how does this sound?
- iPod shuffle: $49
- iPod nano: $99
- iPod touch: $199
- iPad mini: $299
- Last year’s iPad: $399
- iPad: $499
Pretty clean, no? Obviously, I left the iPhone out of that line-up, because its price is driven by subsidy, the rest of these aren’t.
I have no actual knowledge about any of this. It’s just starting to sound pretty good.
