Google’s single biggest problem in trying to call out Microsoft, Apple, Oracle, etc, on the patent issues is this.

They can’t really play the role of David going up against Goliath, when they’re also playing the role of Goliath going after David in another arena. It undercuts their entire argument and negates the sympathy they’re trying to garner.
