Meanwhile, he sounds fairly bullish on Chrome OS, which seems to be the first time anyone has sounded bullish on Chrome OS since its launch. Perhaps the squeeze is finally on.

Alibaba said that Acer “was notified by Google that if the product runs Aliyun OS, Google will terminate its Android- related cooperation and other technology licensing with our partner….We regret Google’s action.”
So much to say on this. For now, let’s just say that the words “terminate” and “open” should never go together.
So let me get this straight: the number one PC maker in the world is bowing out of that race amid declining sales.
The number two PC maker in the world just posted a net loss in the quarter — which, by the way, is their first loss ever.
But the PC business is totally peachy keen, right, Microsoft?
