We’re on the back 9 on the Japan trip now (coming back the 18th), so I thought I’d follow up post 1 and 2 about Japan with a third one.

1. We’ve stayed in five different cities now (and have been to seven), as far as I can tell there are almost no public trashcans anywhere in Japan. Seriously, it’s a problem. Want to walk and eat? Be prepared to hold on to the wrapped/bottle/napkin/etc for a long time.
2. I’ve never seen so many stores devoted to selling sweets in my life.
3. I’ve never eaten so many sweets in my life.
